During a Deep Tissue Massage session, we will apply firm pressure in the areas that need it the most.
This type of massage would usually be used to help reduce general tension all over the body. A Deep Tissue massage has many of the benefits of a Sports Massage, and the aim is to increase blood flow to the affected areas, breaking down tension in any particularly tight spots.
It isn’t uncommon to feel some tenderness for up to a few days after a massage of this nature, so please don’t worry if this is the case!

An individual receiving a deep tissue massage usually lays on the stomach or back in one position, while deep pressure is applied to targeted areas of the body by our trained massage therapist. The massage is beneficial mostly because it helps stimulate blood flow and relieve muscle tension, while at the same time lowering psychological stress and releasing “happy hormones” to keep you feeling great during the massage session and beyond!
